| For the past years in my gratis time I have been dilligently creating a family tree using Family Tree Maker and using church records I take been able to trace all of my ancestors back to the early on 17th century and some lines much further back. I wanted to share this information with my extended family in Portugal and was wondering what site would be best to upload the file and so they could see the information as well. |

I looked at wikitree, simply I was reading that I could no longer upload my GEDCOM file into a tree, only to match information technology with people. It just seems similar a lot of work to manually enter all of the individuals. |

You tin upload your gedcom and you don't accept to enter the details of each individual manually, if that's what yous mean - only afterward uploading the gedcom, y'all do take to evaluate whether each private in the gedcom is already in the database or not. If so, you have to merge them, and if not, you can then add them as a new person. All their details go added automatically when you do that, merely just after you've said "no, this person doesn't match anyone else in the database" and clicked "add". Having to do that on every individual in your gedcom is indeed a lot of piece of work if you lot accept a big tree, but the thought is to increment the integrity of the information that gets added. More than importantly, if y'all don't want anyone to be able to edit your work, Wikitree and FamilySearch are not the correct places to put your tree.
